Dr. Martens has released new Gothic Americana shoes that combines traditional country and western styling with elements of 80s Gothic subculture. It is made with lightweight black Wanama leather and features an ankle zip and upper strap for easy on and off access. The boot also has contrast white embroidery and welt stitch, an AirWair scripted heel loop, and a classic smoke DMS sole
Dr. Martens decided to insert themselves into another trend with their Gothic Americana collection. The seven piece line infuses 80s Gothic subculture with country styling. Their classic black leather silhouettes like the Chelsea boots have been reimagined with Western accents like contrast white stitch designs and gunmetal hardware. The brand’s infamous yellow stitching around the thick sole is replaced with a white one.
“Dr. Martens has never followed fashion. We subvert it. The Gothic Americana pack twists the Western aesthetic with DM’s attitude and our classic silhouettes including the 1460 boot, 1461 shoe and towering Jadon boot. Traditional Americana details infused with subcultural influences.”
Dr. Martens’ Gothic Americana shoes are now available on their website and in select stores nationwide. The entire line ranges from $100- $250.
